He has spent his entire career practicing dentistry in the DFW area since 1985.  He is a North Dallas dentist near Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane.  His current location is in North Dallas  He is located on Walnut Hill Lane across from Presbyterian Hospital.    It is  a convenient location for all of those in North Dallas, Preston Hollow, University Park and Highland Park.  As a Dallas dentist, his primary focus is personalized, detailed care of all of his patients.

He is a student of quality care dentistry.    He is focused on continuing education courses that will expand his knowledge in the practice of general dentistry.  Dr. Miller is dedicated to quality care. Fellowship, Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.)*

A Fellowship in the Academy is a high honor bestowed upon fewer than 10% of dentists.  To receive a Fellowship a dentist must complete several steps.

First, the dentist must have continuous membership in the Academy for at least 5 years.  Second, the dentist must achieve at least 500 credit hours of continuing education. Third, the dentist must pass a 400 question multiple choice type test over all aspects of general dentistry.

Mastership, Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D.)*

Dr. Miller received his Mastership in August 2006 as a general Dentist.  To attain Mastership, members must be Fellows in the Academy who have earned an additional 600 approved continuing education credits, meeting set requirements in each of the dental disciplines.

In addition, 400 of the required credits must be in participation courses, where skills are learned through manipulation of dental materials or in teaching other professionals in the practice of dentistry.  In the Academys’ 53 year history only about  2,000 have received their Mastership.

Fellows and Masters represent a commitment to lifelong learning and support for the mission of the Academy, ”to serve the needs and to represent the interests of general dentists and to foster their continued proficiency through quality continuing dental education in order to better serve the public.”

Fellowship, International Congress of Oral Implantologists (F.I.C.O.I.)*

North Dallas Dentist, William H. Miller, D.M.D. is one of few dentists to achieve a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  He has been involved with implant dentistry since the early 1990’s.  He discusses and coordinates implant dentistry treatment plans.  His emphasis is on the placement of crowns, bridges, partials and dentures over implants.

Dr. Miller’s achievements attest to his commitment to improving his skills and his belief that education is a “life-long” commitment.
